Goolawah National Park — Attraction in Crescent Head

Been coming here for years and not sure what’s going on as it’s not been as poorly organised as this ever! Parks rangers called a fire ban a week ago even though the RFS don’t have one. They don’t review it for a week and the website says no cooking with gas or electric bbqs. You can only use park ones which there aren’t any. Called the office to ask what’s going on and told by local administrator leave if you don’t like it. Then they review the park fire ban and continue it even though it’s been hammering down with rain all day and forecast the same for the rest of the week! The worst experience I’ve had with NPWS. Over priced for what you get ( race course). Stayed in this area for 20 years. At times toilets not cleaned. Out door shower not working. Seems the person collecting fees does not seem to care about facilities. It is a great location. Needs some TLC. If you compare to other national parks around state this would not rate for the price you pay. Maybe $5 per night/ head would be closer to money you...
