Pristine beaches, lush rainforests & outback sunsets - we feel like we could have travelled around @queensland for a year without getting bored of it! We got quite a few saves on part one of this reel so decided to do a part two and tried to include some locations you may not have heard of! Let us know how many locations you have ticked off! 1. Leichhardt Falls 2. Windin Falls 3. Cape Tribulation 4. Cardwell Spa Pool 5. Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) 6. Purling Brook Falls 7. Big Crystal Creek 8. Wallaman Falls 9. Rainbow Beach 10. Mission Beach • • • • #bucketlisttravel #wanderlusttravel #travelaustralia #tropicalnorthqueensland #thisisqueensland #seeaustralia_qld #seeaustralia

Queenslands best rockslides! Who said you need to go to a theme park to have hours of endless fun in the water? These natural water slides provide hours of fun. This was our third time visiting so I've listed some tips below to make the most of your visit here. - To avoid having to wait around for a turn, head down earlier in the day or in the late afternoon. It gets really busy during the day. - It's only a short walk to the rock slides but plan to allow at least a couple hours for exploring and sliding down all the rock slides. So pack some snacks to get you through. Keep in mind, glass containers are not permitted. - There are two main swimming areas, once you've reached the first you can continue up the path to the second. They both have rock slides. - You can continue walking up past the second swimming area if you are looking for more of a wuiet spot to enjoy to yourself. - And lastly, watch out for slippery rocks. I've seen people fall here before and it hurts! Would you have a go at these natural rock slides? 📍Big Crystal Creek, Queensland . . . . #tourismaustralia #seeaustralia #australiatravel #experienceoz #aussietravel #thebiglap #lapofoz #lapofaustralia #lifeontheroad #roadtripaustralia #touringaustralia #australiatrip #queensland #visitqueensland #visitqld #qldtourism #visitaustralia #exploringaustralia #fulltimetravel #tourismau #travellifestyle #lapofaus #thisisqueensland #slowtravel #bigcrystalcreek #palumarangenationalpark #rockslides #wildswimming #naturalswimming #creekswimming

Gorgeous little swimming hole that is easily accessible from the parking lot. Went after missing out in Little Crystal Creek due to closures. What a happy accident! Only about a 5 minute walk once you’ve parked (ample parking) and you walk out to a beautiful creek with plenty of big rocks for setting up and hanging out. Water is at varying depths which is perfect for any person trying to take a dip. Good high rocks for jumping and as the name says, crystal clear waters. So beautiful- I will say there were a LOT of teenagers hanging out there when we went, great if you’re also a teenager, perhaps a little out of place if you’re an adult, but maybe that’s just when we went!

Amazing swimming hole. There's facilities for camping and cooking if you're looking to stay the night. If you are looking to camp you will need to obtain a permit from the Department of National Parks. If you're not keen on camping, close to the highway there is a caravan park.

It's recommend to go after some rain so the water will be clear and fresh, but it isn't necessary. If there hasn't been any rain in a while don't bother.

If there has been heavy rain recently I recommend traveling further west, past Big Crystal Creek and having a look at the Rockslides. Drive 1-2kms past the camping ground and you will come to a gate. Get out and make your way to the creek and there will be a track going up the hill. It takes about 10 minutes and it is definitely...

The park Rangers were very nice but it needs more close observation. One person was living there illegally. A place of tranquility and beauty but spoilt by many other thoughtless campers it appears people don't care when they are camping in a out of the way place how their behaviour affects others who have gone there for the beauty and peace and quiet .....don't go on public holidays......we had to call the police to assist us with really awful thoughtless troublemaker camper. Scary when you ask people to please respect the environment and you get threatened in a isolated area with someone who says they are going to smack you in the mouth and then challenge a 70 year old to fight him....Honestly the police were OK...
