This beautiful spot is a well hidden gem 40 minutes away from Townsville. Very winding road to get there but you are rewarded with beautiful cool water, a delightful series of waterfalls and a classic old Bridge which makes you thankful for the men and women who sacrificed to build the road and bridge for us to enjoy now many many years later. There is a generous car park, a beautifully maintained composting eco friendly toilet which was spotless when I went in and I commend the council for keeping in such pristine condition. I recommend that patrons appreciate that fact, keep the facility clean and do the next bloke a favour! Definitely not a place for disabled or people with walking difficulty and particularly dangerous even for able bodied people because of the slipperiness of the rocks and poor access to the waters' edge. Be on your guard and be very careful. This would be the perfect place on a hot summer's day but I would imagine it would be standing room only! Most certainly worth the drive from Townsville a most pleasant drive and reward...

Located about an hour north of Townsville this cute little series of water holes and falls if perfect for a refreshing swim and/or picnic. It’s only 100m Walk from the Carpark and down a set of stairs beside a beautiful arch bridge and very easy to access on foot.
A couple of picnic tables and plenty of shade to enjoy with the whole family, definitely check this one of the list when in the area 😍

Read moreLittle Crystal creek is a lovely place to visit when in Townsville . Hidden within the Paloma National Park, you do have to travel up a 12km narrow winding road . Just go slow and all is good. There is a car park on the left across the road from Little Crystal Creek, we’ll sign posted . You need to walk towards the bridge to get down the steps to it. There are a variety of steps to get down, either side of the bridge . Fantastic scenery, though not too much water when we were there . Can swim there. Thoroughly recommend the day trip . Went on to Paluma itself . Not much open in the village...
