Visiting Lake Jubilee early one morning we were treated to a mist rising from the water and a crisp clean walking environment all on a postcard perfect day. Just a few minutes from the heart of Daylesford you will find this beautiful lake with several amenities close by, including barbecue facilities, walking trails, canoe and paddle boat hire, a playground, caravan park, and café and kiosk. I was even told that they stock the lake with Rainbow trout a couple of times a year so remember to bring your fishing line too. Originally this lake was known as the Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir as it was the main source of water for the miners back in the mid 1850’s. I bet those miners would get a shock to see it today. Well worth a visit.

Went about 3pm on a Jan weekday. It was surprisingly fairly quiet. Swimming in the lake was lovely. Altho apparently there's no direct spring/ thermal water running into the lake, it must still have good minerals in it. My body and joints felt deeply soft after swimming in it. The walk around the lake is lovely. 😊

An unusual find - nicer than expected. A very peaceful 30-minute walk around the lake, with a lot of pretty flowers and variety of birds. Lots if ducks, cockatoos and some beautiful peacocks. Found a lovely bridge and waterfall too. Has a lovely camping area too and generally enjoyable.

A nice enough spot but in terms of just walking, the main lake walk is not that great...that's just our experience but even on a hot day in December it was wet and boggy in places and quite calustrophobic in places with over growth. There is a campsite if that's your thing and the peacocks were an entertaining surprise. However, be warned...those birds are LOUD and fairly persistent if you are intedning to picnic!

If you want a beautiful walk, just drive 5 minutes back towards Daylesford and Lake Daylesford as it provides a quite lovely scenic lap of 2.5km, with far better photos ops, places to sit, decent toilets and a wee cafe in the main car park where we got a surprisingly good long...

We come to this holiday park every year sometimes twice a year, either just as a family getaway or with friends. We cannot recommend it enough, our young children love the relaxed environment and all the activities that are available for them to do. The wildlife, nature walks, the lake, the fun attractions and the views are breathtaking. Very family friendly with everything you need well thought through, the staff are friendly, accommodating and generally just lovely people! 11 years and counting... We'll be...
