Two Rivers Wines — Attraction in Denman

Very rude manager! She insulted most people in our party each in a different manner. The platers were very nice and the tasting was good. The staff delivering the tastings and food were great. Lovely wines and views.

However the manager of the day was rude abrupt and left everyone feeling dismayed at her attitude when we had paid for our food tastings then bottles of wine on top of all that. Our party was 10 minutes late however and were made to feel we had interrupted their daily plans being told their were more people booked in and basically to get a move on! We stayed a few hours and at no point did anyone not have a table in fact there was a large table spare and tables inside unused for the duration of our stay. We came across this winery unexpectedly during a road trip and were so impressed with the hospitality and service that we made sure to visit again on our way back home. We were thee wine novices that weren’t made to feel at all bad about our lack of wine knowledge and the wonderful hostess at the time patiently answered our questions and explained to us what we were tasting without making us feel inferior at all. As a result we all bought a couple of bottles of wine each and made sure to come back on our return trip to sample the cheese platter while sitting on their beautiful verandah enjoying the view over part of the vineyard. We had an outstanding wine tasting experience at Two Rivers. We were fortunate to have the cellar door to ourselves on a Monday lunchtime. Our host Gretel did a great job of taking us through the wine range. We tasted all the whites at the tasting bench. We then enjoyed tasting the reds with their large cheese and antipasto platter on the verandah overlooking the vines. We particularly enjoyed the Pinot Grigio, Verdelho and Shiraz.
