What an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, Jane and Marc made us feel so welcome. They are not only incredibly friendly and warm, but also so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. You can tell straight away how much they genuinely care about the animals and their welfare and it shows, because every single animal was happy, healthy, and so well loved.
The tour itself was amazing. It felt really personal and intimate, not rushed at all, and we had plenty of time to soak everything in. Jane and Marc shared so many interesting insights and stories along the way, which made it feel engaging from start to finish. I’ve been on a few farm tours before, but this one honestly stands out as the most enjoyable and meaningful I’ve ever been on.
The value for money was incredible too, a generous bucket of food for the animals (which they absolutely adored) and even a sweet little cookie at the end. The whole tour ran for such a good amount of time, and we got to do so much more than I expected. It felt like we were part of something really special, not just another stop along the way.
I left feeling so grateful for the experience and full of admiration for Jane and Marc. They pour so much love, care, and energy into what they do, and it makes all the difference. If you’re thinking about visiting, do it, I truly cannot recommend this tour enough. It’s a must-do and such a beautiful memory to...
Read moreOur family experience was ruined. We were told to leave the farm 10 minutes after arriving because our excited 2yo was making too much noise! We went there on Father’s Day to have a great time and it was a total waste of our time. If the owner/operators of the animal farm require all quests to be quiet at all times they should advise this clearly on their website that young children are not welcome at their farm! We have been to a few animal farms across Perth and have never experienced such unwelcoming behaviour from a business. The lady in charge clearly doesn’t like noise or young children. No other guests complained about my child to me. We actually were not there long enough before being told to leave anyway. Anyone with children knows children make noise!! They get excited, over stimulated, it’s perfectly normal behaviour for a 2yo. Making our child leave prior to even having any interaction with the animals made him scream in distress as he didn’t understand why he wasn’t allowed to see the animals anymore. There are hundreds of activities to do across Perth on weekends and we chose Sandalwood Downs farm. Thanks for ruining our Fathers Day. After writing this review I read another family had the same problem at the farm with their...
Read more10/10 Wow! Where do I begin! Jane is a lovely host who is so warm & welcoming from the get go. As soon as we pulled up we felt immediately at ease. Their property is stunning and you can see and FEEL the love and care that they have put into this special place. My partner and I had a lovely stay under the trees, looking out over the paddocks with the sheep and alpacas roaming freely. The sites are very spaced out so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm and just relax. In the morning we did the farm tour led by Marc. Marc is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information about the animals, the property and all the work they’ve done. He is very kind and happy to answer any questions. You can feed and cuddle the animals and you are actually in the paddocks with them which a lot of other farm tours don’t offer. You can see how loved these animals are as they follow Jane and Marc around for cuddles! Jane even brought out delicious, warm choc chip cookies at the end of our farm tour - a truly special touch! Thank you so much for having us and we can’t wait to...
