The Canberra Society of Model and Experimental Engineering, which operates the Canberra Miniature Railway, caters to a wide set of model engineering interests including steam, electric and petrol locomotives, traction engines, clocks, and boats.

The train has 3 seating platforms one for each family of 3 maybe.

Read moreGreat experience for the kids and train enthusiasts. Staff are friendly and the multiple trains ensures you’re not waiting too long for a ride, even in the freezing cold Canberra winter.
Needs some big improvement in the cafe. Took almost 30mins just to get served with only 4 in front of us. Then we got told the food would take another 30-40 mins. Staff were very flustered and inexperienced. Understand this is a volunteer experience but you need to offer something a bit better or at least just make it premade meals. Coffees tasted terrible and our toddlers baby chino was scorching hot, to a point it would not cool before we left.
Come prepared with own food and drinks and this will be a great time out...
