Clancy's Track rises gently through bushland from "The Fair" in North Watson to the dirt road that runs along the base of Mount Majura. The track has several entrances scattered for several hundred meters along each of Ian Nicol Street and Antil Streets, with the main walkers' entrance near the intersection of Tay Street and Ian Nicol Street. There is off-street parking for walkers along both Ian Nicol and Antil Streets. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the top of Clancy's Track. If you then cross the dirt road and climb a short distance up through the clearing on the other side, it is possible to gain unobstructed views over much of the northern side of Canberra, with Black Mountain featuring prominently in the distance. This is also a good location to watch the sun set over the Brindabella mountains to the west.
