Moderate Walk, mostly on the flat. Track is on the rough side but well marked. Closed strong footwear is recommended. Gum tree grassy woodland vegetation, duration 30 min to 1 hour. September/October is a Good time to see some endemic Wildflowers, but this track is interesting and accessible any time of the year (except during high risk fire periods). Starts from the Fair and then connects to other trails or can be done as a loop.

Clancy's Track rises gently through bushland from "The Fair" in North Watson to the dirt road that runs along the base of Mount Majura. The track has several entrances scattered for several hundred meters along each of Ian Nicol Street and Antil Streets, with the main walkers' entrance near the intersection of Tay Street and Ian Nicol Street. There is off-street parking for walkers along both Ian Nicol and Antil Streets. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the top of Clancy's Track. If you then cross the dirt road and climb a short distance up through the clearing on the other side, it is possible to gain unobstructed views over much of the northern side of Canberra, with Black Mountain featuring prominently in the distance. This is also a good location to watch the sun set over the Brindabella mountains to the west. In springtime many native flowers bloom along Clancy's Track, and it is possible to see wallabies or even an echidna. Clancy's track is suitable for children, but not for...

Nice place to walk. Lots of little trails and enough clears parts that can walk around freely (though they warn you not to leave the trail with dogs for the wildlife) The parking lot is just dirt with potholes, so if your car is lowered be aware of that. No bathrooms around that I've...
