Beautiful little park. You can choose from a range of walks including a 1-2 hour one (halfway up mount tennant, to the lookout that can been see in these photos where there is a timber bench seat next to a large boulder), which boasts excellent views with minimal effort. And then you can do mount tennant which might take most of your day, and this one boasts even more spectacular views, but take water and food!

Staff at the centre are very knowledgable, and there are a few maps you can choose...

This visitor centre is the pinnacle of Australian innovation in the national park sector and is constructed with a concrete steel formation. Another great quality of this building is the lovely toilet, however do not leave your car especially with children in the far back seat. Due to the heat of course, which radiates strongly throughout the parking lot. Good National Park visitor centre in pleasant surroundings. If you are unfamiliar with Namadgi National Park this centre is a worthwhile first stop. The staff have been knowledgeable and very helpful on both our visits. The shop has a good range of stock and there is an excellent supply of pamphlets and maps relevant to the area. I visited the Namadgi Visitor Centre after an early morning hike to Mt Tennent. Although they weren't open when I started at 7 am, the facilities were accessible after my challenging hike, which was much appreciated. The centre itself is clean and well-maintained, offering a convenient stop for hikers. It's definitely a helpful spot to recharge and get information for future visits!

If you are heading out into Namadgi National Park, be sure to drop in and check with the friendly staff if there are any road/track closures or weather warnings in place. The staff can also give great information on what is on offer for your fitness or experience level. Public toilets available. Gift shop. Informative displays.
