This is a fantastic nature park—my favourite so far in the Australian Capital Territory as the walking track gently undulates across a number of sparsely treed hills that give you the most wonderful views of the Tuggeranong Valley and the Murrumbidgee River. The bird life is amazing. We saw a flock of Sulphur crested cockatoos, Eastern rosellas, Crimson rosellas, Superb parrots, Magpies and Wattle birds in the hour we were there. We also saw kangaroos. There’s a rock cairn and a deadfall pile on Urambi Hill, as well as a bench seat to take in the view.

The park is dog-friendly as long as they are leashed. The track is affected by water run-off so wear your sturdy shoes. Not recommended for prams or people with...

Beautiful views of the Brindabellas, the Murrumbidgee River and the Tuggeranong Vallley. The path up to the lookout has been recently improved so it's no longer slippery. The gradient is quite steep but it's also a shorter walk than say, My Taylor. There is a chair at the summit to relax and enjoy the views. This walk pretty much guarantees that you'll see kangaroos!

Note that the nearest public toilet would be at...

I love the 360 degree views of the Tuggeranong town centre and suburbs and the wilderness to the west. The hill is nice and easy to climb, you can start from different points but the easiest climb seems to be from the access off Meredith Circuit in Kambah. I do love the views, but the same lack of trees that give you the stunning views also make there be no shade so definitely take precautions...

I hadn’t walked this way in a while until last week but there’s a ton of new tree plantings on the slopes. A lot of work for a lot of people but I suspect it was a lot of work for only a few people… Great work, congratulations and many thanks to the people responsible! šŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ‘šŸ¼
