This claims to have different skill levels associated for mountain bikers They are not 109% clear.
But the tracks overall are fantastic.
Be warned a real challenge and workout for you and your bike.
Me and my sons saw alot of people with specially equipped very expensive mountain trail bicycles.
The views are absolutely exceptional.
With regards to what you need for the trails well I have used my wife's mountain bike we bought in 1998 it has no shocks or suspension at all.
A bit rough going downhill but it works, so you dont need really fancy wheels.
I kept it in the lowest gear for going downhill so what I mean the same gear you use to go up a hill why because you don't have time to change and you pick up speed very very quickly, so cover both brakes is a must.
Make sure tyres are full off road and alittle bit soft.
Protection is an absolute MUST. We all use normal cycling helmets but I have seen trail bike full face type helmets and I strongly see the benefit and agree with them.
Gloves that have padding are essential as are elbow pads and knee pads.
One of my sons has full body armour covering the torso and another has upper arm padding.
You can't overdo PPE.
A great mountain bike trail, be safe take care not too fast.
Thoroughly recommend. Awesome trail.
Oh by the way we have as standard for safety and location finding purposes both front and rear...

There are 2 dedicated flow trails here that I've ridden and both are impeccably built. One is a green beginners trail and the other is a blue intermediate trail.
There are heaps of cross country trails to ride.
There are no toilets on-site and no bins here so whatever you take in, take it out with you.
There are a few picnic tables a water tank in the car park with a pump track and a few tabletops to practice jumping over. The town has plenty of accommodation for an overnight or few day stay.
The town has 2 pubs and a brewery, chemist, cafes, gift shops, bike shop, grocery shop, fuel etc. So you can obtain everything in town you need to get you by.
Great place to ride highly...
Read moreReally enjoyed my visit and immediately wished I was staying longer, one day in Dungog isn't enough.
I rode the 15km intermediate Mountain Bike loop but made the mistake of not taking enough water and a snack with me. Was absolutely exhausted by the end and the 35°c day didn't help.
The trails are well built following the contours of the hills which are quite tall and long. The flow track was fast and fun. Loved the sculptures near the start of the trail and hope more get added to the common.
I encountered one women walking her 4 dogs off leash up the wrong way of a descending trail. Thankfully I saw them early and wasn't...
