We found this gorge the easiest versus El Questro and Amalia. No tricky cliff faces to scramble or chains to help you navigate ledges haha. There are large pebbles/rocks (not boulders) and good balance is required with non slippery shoes. I would rate this as basic/easy and would take about an hour return depending on how long you take to swim.

We went at 9 am and the carpark was full. Made it up fairy quickly, however on the way back we got stuck behind a group with no situational awareness that were very very slow and didn’t move aside so that was quite painful haha. If you go at a busy time, just be mindful that it can be a slow dawdle - although most ppl know hiking etiquette and will let you pass 🤦‍♀️

It is a scenic walk with two delightful swimming spots - the water was cool but not cold in June.

When you finish the walk, you can pop into the restaurant/bar - they start serving booze at 10am and lunch at 12. They also have restrooms.

We saw a dingo in the garden - that was quite the...

I rate this as one of my favourite gorges along the Gibb. We started very early in the morning, the trail head has toilets and information panels. The carpark and resort does get busy and the trail up to the Turquoise Pool and the Falls is narrow so there will be hiking bottle necks. Early morning sun on the surrounding cliffs is stunning, and morning shade makes the hike/ scramble up to the falls cool and pleasant. The deep overhanging cliffs at the falls are dramatic, with a continual rain of water seepage drops down into the pool. The entry beach/ shore is small and rocky, to the right is a small thermal niche. The warm thermal currents mix with the cool pool water, making an invigorating swim. By the time we headed back down the gorge the sun was shining onto the Turquoise Pool highlighting the colour. The resort deck and cafe is a good place to rest after the hike. I would recommend good hiking boots for this walk with ankle support. Very nice way to spend an...

Level 4 walk they say, first half is pretty easy while the difgiculty increases from halfway. Need to wear good and cvered walking shoe. I had my work boot on and was perfect! There is one small pool and one big with waterfall. The big one is further 1t minute walk from the forst one and quite steep. Need to be careful as i witnessed two people tipped over the rocks and hurt themselves badly during the hike. But once you reach the top pool, its breathtaking. I couldnt stop taking photos, planned to stay there for 30 minutes and ended up spending the whole day there :) If you are careful enough then its pretty doable fpr everyone. I would suggest start hiking early in the morning cause it gets pretty hot as the day advances and the aun rises over you. The gorges change their colours with different ditections of sunlight..so you look at them at different time of the day...they will give u completely...
