Visited the lake near the Nature Walk loop. Had planned to paddle board on the lake but the water looked very shallow so gave it a miss, thought I had the tides checked but was wrong, so do watch out for this. Walks are lovely there, a bit around the lake and then the nature walk loop, there is also a full 8.5 lake walk. Found it was extremely leechy so be prepared after rain! It's beautiful but we spent most of the walk flicking off the leeches.

Good paddle up the estuary but check tides and wind. Peaceful with good birding but some nutrification. Check for coffee shop opening hours ahead.
