Wonderful place to visit. Easily accessed from places in the area such as Pambula, Merimbula, Bega and Tathra. It's quite a pleasant drive once in the Park on the main but unsealed access road located in the northern section of the Ben Boyd, even driving a two wheel drive vehicle. Although there are some road corrugations, they are relatively mild and easy to drive over.
If you are up for a reasonable day out in this section of the Park. Then depending upon the season and time of day you arrive, I would recommend stopping at, The Pinnacles loop walking track, Quondola Point Beach and Haycock Point. The Haycock Point parking area appeared to have a nice BBQ and picnic area. And although we didn't stop for lunch there, it seemed like a great location to break for lunch. A lunch break could had taken there at any time during your visit depending upon your arrival time and site visiting schedule.
All in all it's a very picturesque section of coastline. Highlights include the vividly coloured hillside of The Pinnacles, the appealing area at Quondolo Beach and the coloured rocks and views South of Haycock Beach, both can viewed from the Haycock Point walking trail.

We did the walk from North to south The car shuffle was time consuming to ensure we had cars at the finish line, however we managed to get going in the afternoon.
We dropped water at salt water creek to ensure there was some as we were told not to rely on tanks or creeks. In reality there was quite a lot of water available if you purified it, from tanks at salt water but also from creeks which had some...
Read moreNorth Ben Boyd National Park has great beaches, interesting rock formations and some colorful eroded cliffs in a gully called "The Pinnacles". Haycock Point is beautiful spot with a couple of rock stacks off the headland and lots of bird life. There are always lots of kangaroos on the track out to the headland and they are often resting on the beach as well, sometimes even down near the surf, although they will usually head back into the trees when you go onto the beach. Severs Beach is back up from the mouth of the river. It is a very pretty spot and there is also an aboriginal...
