The view from Fogg’s lookout is worth the drive - even the last bit where the road is unsurfaced with large exposed rocks in places. There were a couple of issues which soured the visit somewhat for me. You cannot drive right up to the lookout. The road widens a little so you can pull over. So for those of us with mobility issues it is a disappointment. It was a very hot day which is already problematic, but I was determined to see the view from the lookout. It’s a little bit of a drive up but so worth it, you have 360 degree views overlooking Lake Eildon and there are many places to park your car to really take in the view. Great location for anyone with limited mobility too as you don’t even have to leave your car to see the views. The road you drive on is a dirt road and there is a dirt ramp right to top of the lookout where you can stand above car height to get an even better view. But once you reach the summit the trip is well worth it with the stunning views. Mind you this lookout is for people who is there purely to enjoy the view. There are no toilets or BBQ facilities.
