Ellinjaa Falls, nestled deep within the heart of nature's embrace, is a hidden gem that transports visitors to a world of tranquility and natural beauty. Located in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area of Queensland, Australia, this enchanting waterfall captivates with its cascading waters, lush surroundings, and serene atmosphere. My recent visit to Ellinjaa Falls left me awestruck and rejuvenated, and I cannot recommend this stunning destination enough.

As I approached the falls, I was greeted by the gentle symphony of rushing water, a sound that instantly soothed my soul. The sight that unfolded before me was nothing short of magical—an elegant curtain of water gracefully descending into a crystal-clear rock pool below. The sheer force and power of the falls were humbling, yet the overall ambiance was one of serenity and harmony.

The well-maintained walking trail leading to Ellinjaa Falls was a delightful journey in itself. Surrounded by verdant rainforest, the path guided me through a canopy of ancient trees, alive with the calls of native birds and the melodious hum of insects. The air was cool and invigorating, carrying the fragrance of damp earth and foliage.

Upon reaching the falls, I was mesmerized by their beauty. The water cascaded down from a height of approximately 30 meters, creating a delicate mist that danced in the air, catching the sunlight and forming iridescent rainbows. The rock pool at the base of the falls was inviting, its emerald waters beckoning visitors to take a refreshing dip. I couldn't resist the temptation and waded into the cool, pristine pool, feeling rejuvenated and at one with nature.

Ellinjaa Falls is a photographer's paradise, offering countless opportunities to capture nature's brilliance. The interplay of light, shadow, and water creates a photographer's dream scenario, and even novice shutterbugs will find it hard to resist capturing the falls' ethereal charm.

One of the highlights of my visit was the peaceful and uncrowded nature of the falls. Unlike some popular tourist attractions, Ellinjaa Falls retains a sense of serenity and seclusion. The absence of large crowds allowed me to connect with nature on a deeper level, embracing the solitude and immersing myself in the calming energy of the surroundings.

For those seeking further adventure, Ellinjaa Falls is also conveniently located near other notable natural attractions in the area, such as Milla Milla Falls and Zillie Falls. Exploring these nearby wonders can turn a visit to Ellinjaa Falls into a day of enchantment and discovery.

In conclusion, Ellinjaa Falls is a hidden paradise that delights the senses and nourishes the soul. With its captivating beauty, tranquil ambiance, and untouched wilderness, this natural wonder invites visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and find solace in the embrace of nature. Whether you're a nature lover, an avid photographer, or simply someone seeking respite from the chaos of the world, Ellinjaa Falls is an experience that will leave an indelible mark on your...

Absolutely magical little set of falls hidden up in the Tablelands. Just a quick but somewhat steep 5 min walk down from the tree shaded gravel carpark to discover this truly delightful smaller set of falls and river system with nice little area for swimming. Best experienced on those really sunny days due to it's own cooler atmosphere change as you come down the steps. One of the lesser known falls in the area, but one that should not be missed if driving past (You have another two falls in this road section so why not make it three?) Path is probably not well suited for the frail or those unsteady on their feet but there is a nice little picnic table and a look out up top that people can wait at while you run down for some quick snaps and a dip. A...

There will be 3 waterfalls to see if you go to the waterfalls scenic drive in Millaa Millaa, the total drive around 18km which didt take too long if you just touch and go.

Out of the 3 waterfalls this is the second to me, not the best nor the worst.

The walk to the bottom wasn't so hard, short and easy, around 10mins?

There is a small pond down there where you can take some swim there.

There weren't too many people when I went. Overall it...

Being really honest I was a bit disappointed by the amount of water I’ve seen there. Not quite sure if this is due to the horrible drought season we are experiencing in Australia these days or if I’m just biased since I’m originally from Brazil (which has plenty of massive waterfalls). In any case, it was still a great time I had at Ellinjaa and I found it better than Millaa Millaa, the so called most photographed waterfall in Australia!
