A great place for those who enjoy nature and history. The thermal pools were the highlight, offering a relaxing swim in warm, clear waters. There are several walking tracks, most of them easy, making it a good spot for families or casual hikers. The park’s connection to the novel We of the Never Never adds a bit of historical significance, though there isn’t much signage explaining it. Overall, it’s a pleasant visit for anyone passing through the Northern Territory, but it’s not overly crowded or tourist-heavy, which I...

What an amazing place in the Northern Territory. We spent the first part of the morning swimming at Bitter Springs which I highly recommend. It is like something you see on TV! You don’t need to travel out of Australia to enjoy something so magical and beautiful. Water is clear. There’s a nice currant which can take you downstream if you wish to float and relax. Ample parking. Not too far to walk to the springs. Toilets are...

Had a lovely stay at Bitter Springs. Maybe not 5 star but what's better is it was clean and well organised. Even recycling bins for each site. Amenities, again not 5 star, but clean and tidy. Camped at the other campground the 1st night which was great then Mataranka homestead the next few nights. Loved the thermal pool although does get quite busy and noisy and a just a short drive to Bitter springs . This was a nice relaxing drift along the crystal clear creek. A noodle is a must to get the most out it.

Very picturesque park with good camping facilities and generous shaded sites. Plenty of interesting walks although due to increased croc alerts no swimming was permitted on my visit there. Easy access on sealed road and not too crowded (possibly due to croc alert). Feral donkeys were noisy at night
