Great and safe place to bring kids for a day at the beach, lots of tide pools to explore. Excellent place to snorkel usually very calm with virtually no waves on the shore. After heavy surf however all the seaweed gets trapped in the bay and is best avoided especially because billions of flies are attracted to the seaweed on the shore, little kids especially don't like this and have been seen running and screaming to escape the flying hoard. For families with lots of stuff you can drive your car to the bottom of the hill and quickly unload. This is a popular spot and can only accommodate so many people so I suggest arriving early. No toilets on the beach however aid the street are public toilets that serve as a handy place to change. Take away can be found in Anna Bay or bring a picnic. No shade so unless you want to be in the sun all day...
