You can reach Castle Rock, an imposing, monolithic boulder on the end of a headland, via a short (300m) walk from a nearby car park, or as part of the 4km (one-way) Castle Rock "Great Short Walk". The rock itself is worth a visit, and is a great spot for photos at sunset. I would highly recommend the walk to Castle Rock along the coast from Allports Beach, which is a varied walk traversing a number of different and secluded beaches (best if you can get dropped off at one end and picked up at Castle Rock, and an easier walk at low tide). This massive rock blew me away. We drove the dirt track to the beach area, then walked around the seaside to get to Castle Rock. Definitely woth the effort. There is even a beach to the left of the rock when facing the ocean. Wonder opportunity to walk over other rocks to enjoy the scenery.

A must see natural attraction on the Island. Yes it is just a big rock but it is a beautiful beach in a beautiful bay. The road in is good and easily navigable.

A short but stunning walk that I highly recommend doing close to sunset. Experience the rugged beauty of Tasmania on the Castle Rock Walk, a 6.5km, Grade 3 hike in the Emita Nature Recreation Area on Flinders Island's north-west coast. Starting and ending at the Emita Recreation Area Carpark, this peaceful, scenic trail weaves through coastal heath and stunning beaches, leading hikers to the impressive Castle Rock, a colossal granite boulder on the edge of Marshall Bay. For the best experience, plan your walk during low tide and take in the breathtaking sunset over the...

Always a great place to visit. The entrance could be better sign posted. It's a dirt track but easy and ends in a large rock shelf. The track starts in bush a bit lower down but is easy and leads down a final slope to the "rock". High tide has its delights with waves crashing on the rocks parallel to the track while lower tides allow access to the area around the rock and it's companions plus a beach. Well...
