This is one of the beautiful locations within the Francois Peron National Park that we really enjoyed spending time during a recent full day visit to the park with Shark Bay Coastal Tours.
Viewpoint and lookout spot on the northeast coast within the park where you can see the beautiful sea and landscape of rich orange coloured cliffs hugging up against the turquoise waters of Shark Bay is quite spectacular here.
The waters are shallow so you can watch for sharks and other marine wildlife. We spotted a few sharks at nearby Cape Peron which you can walk to by way of a 1.5 km long Wanamalu Trail, a fairly easy, flat walk on solid grounds on through the arid desert grounds in between these two locations. The road out is very sandy and soft after the gregories, so keep moving as it can get bumpy, we had rock back and forth to harden the sand to get out once, it would be hard for anyone to stop in the soft...
