This is one of the beautiful locations within the Francois Peron National Park that we really enjoyed spending time during a recent full day visit to the park with Shark Bay Coastal Tours. Viewpoint and lookout spot on the northeast coast within the park where you can see the beautiful sea and landscape of rich orange coloured cliffs hugging up against the turquoise waters of Shark Bay is quite spectacular here. The waters are shallow so you can watch for sharks and other marine wildlife. We spotted a few sharks at nearby Cape Peron which you can walk to by way of a 1.5 km long Wanamalu Trail, a fairly easy, flat walk on solid grounds on through the arid desert grounds in between these two locations. The trail goes by much interesting local vegetation, keep an eye out for interesting wildlife, birdlife, insects and whales in the distance, breaching in the sea as well.

Such an amazing place, it's true what they say: stay long enough and you'll see everything! We saw manta rays, sharks and turtles. The drive on our way to Skipjack Point was bumpy but we made it through without any issues. Me and my partner are beginners in fourwheeldriving but it was not as hard as we tought by lowering our tires to 20psi and having high clearance! There is a very bumpy part between cattle well and Gregories, just be mindfull of that! The rest of the track is bumpy but very okay for beginners (in my opinion).

Views from the lookouts are great, take Binoculars and look down the bay on the far lookout and saw Turtles, Sharks, fish and Rays. Further out we saw Dolphins feeding on schools of fish. The road out is very sandy and soft after the gregories, so keep moving as it can get bumpy, we had rock back and forth to harden the sand to get out once, it would be hard for anyone to stop in the soft...
