Such an awful experience at Gapstead wines and a shame that the manager is so rude to customers. By reading these reviews it seems that we are not the only ones with this experience. We were snapped at because we were browsing the merchandise after we entered & were told to stand back and wait (the area was not crowded in the slightest). Another staff memeber followed us out to apologise and used the manager's German heritage as an excuse for his abrupt and rude tone. There were no more than 8 cusotmers tasting at the time of entry & density limits were also used as an excuse (maximum density was 12 according to the sign). Another patron could see this all unfold and offered us her sympathy in what she could also see as such a disrespectful and rude encounter. The manager really made a mockery of himself. I was recently in Euroa and spent $200.00 on Gapsted wines. I really admire the wine maker at Gapsted he has an excellent palate for wine he/she really know their stuff. I consider that they not only take the best quality grapes but also take quality before quantity. These wines are a must for both red and white. I love the Sauvignon Blanc in summer the best!!!!!
