Mount George Lookout — Attraction in George Town

There is a small walk from the parking area. You can walk via the access roadway or via the accessibility ramps as shown. The only problem is that the viewing platform only has stair access. You do get a pretty good view from the bottom anyway but still. Absolutely stunning view from the mouth of the river on your right, way up towards Launceston on the left, and all of George Town, Bell bay and the communities across the river. This was a surprisingly good view for something so accessible. You can drive nearly all the way to the viewing area, which has fantastic views back towards George Town and the Tamar River. From the parking area, a well cared for boardwalk takes you the rest of the way.
