I had the best time of my life. Although we couldn’t get in as it was already booked out and we didn’t realise we had to pay beforehand until we got there. However, that didn’t stop us from going for our flower walk/ trekking. It was so much fun and felt at home. The peaceful nature and fresh water, the morning dew and peaceful breeze, just the perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. Core memory created 💙 15.08.25

So peaceful out here. Walked the Quenda trail and it has some sections where there is a fair bit of stairs. Our dodgy knees were screaming for mercy at the section just before the monument. You will be best served by some frequent breaks in that section. On hindsight, we should've brought our walking sticks along. If you are young and sprightly though, doubt this would give you cause for concern.

We chose a beautiful day to walk Quenda trail in Paruna. Lots of steps, so not suitable for elderly or unfit. Lots of streams, brooks and water. Early blossoms of wild flowers. Breath taking lookouts. Definitely worth a visit for nature lovers.

A place of Serenity🦜🦜🦋🦋🌿🌱🌳🍂 The trails are marked out very well and maintained at a very high standard. The trails are good for entry level walkers/hikers right up to humans who want to run the trails. Quenda Circuit is a 6.5km trail and along the way you come across 3 spectacular lookouts...breathtaking is one word to describe the view and you can't be anything except present in that moment😇 Numbat trail is a 12km trail with a much longer descent/elevation and it connects up to the Quenda Circuit where both of these trails start and end at the gate entrance. Paruna Sanctuary is both child friendly and of course adult friendly... If you only feel like going for a 2.2km I believe it's this distance it may be 2.5km then take the possum run, great for the kids especially if you have really young ones🙂 Once you finish off being immersed amongst nature ,then gather around the picnic table just down a few steps on the right at the entrance and have a snack and drink that you bring along yourself while listening to the birds, the sunshine warming your back and the beautiful lake right next to you.

It is a place that is a...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Paruna Sanctuary - A Trekker’s Paradise!

Paruna Sanctuary in Western Australia is an absolute gem for trekking enthusiasts, especially during the winter months. I visited in mid-July when the weather was pleasantly cool, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The sanctuary offers three trails, and I opted for the middle one, which is around 7 kilometers long. The trail is well-marked and takes you through stunning views and serene nature, including a small but picturesque water flow. The viewpoints along the way are breathtaking, providing ample opportunities to pause and soak in the beauty of the landscape.

The tranquility of the sanctuary, combined with the lush greenery and diverse wildlife, makes it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking for a peaceful nature walk, Paruna Sanctuary is a must-visit. Absolutely loved every...

It does what it says on the box; steps, steps and steps. According to my watch, the Numbat Trail involved 136 storeys. That is a lot of up and down. The trail is, unusually for Perth, beautifully sign-posted with clear arrows everywhere. All along the trail benches are scattered, presumably to allow shaking muscles a chance to recover. The park is so verdant and lush after the rains with steams bubbling cheerfully alongside the path. The trail is easy to walk, just with many, many sections of up or downhill. Kangaroos were seen with regularity as were diverse varieties of birds and flowers. The return leg from the peak doubles back on itself for a bit, but thankfully cuts out a large section towards the end. Even though the map suggests that this trail is almost 13km, it ended up being...
