When we visited this maze, we were greeted with Craig at the front gate and was extremely rude. Shouting and raising his voice at myself and the people I was with. Craig stated that no food was to be let in on the premises and that we had to leave our bags outside the premises. We put our morning tea bag on the bus then Craig told us to leave out bags in the shop. We walked through to the shop and was greeted by Sandra who greeted us with a smile and then we asked her where we should put our bags and she said we could put them on the table just near the top on the area. Craig then proceeded to come in and tell us to move all of our bags to the walkway where people walk in and out to enter and exit the maze. After we had put our bags in the walkway. Craig then started yelling at Sandra in the shop. This made the start of our day extremely unpleasant. And we then moved on to continue our day. This incident was over and Craig decided to come back out to us and restart the dispute, and stated we were welcome to take the kids out to the area were the cars and busses pulled through to eat our morning tea. We did not do this due to us being a small school and only had 15 kids on the day, making them eat their morning tea in a parking lot was just not an option. Although Craig’s attitude swiftly changed when we spend over $50 dollars in there shops as it was a hot day and the kid were not going to be able to wait until 12 o’clock for lunch as they are only young. Overall Craig was incredibly rude and I will not be visiting again due to the lack of communication skills, disrespect and overall rudeness that was...
Read moreTo start off the female attendant was extremely short and rude. We had two pregnant people who couldn't walk the maze and still had to pay 18 p.p to enter. We told them we would be buying from the cafe and just wanted to sit down while the kids where in the maze with their fathers, however were told we would have to wait outside then. We were then asked for a bag search, as they didn't want glass on the premise however, the way it was asked was extremely intrustive and rude. We were asked "what was in the child cooler bag", and we had to explain "it was baby food", which she was hesitant about allowing and watched as like a hawk when the kids had a snack. I also had a small satchel bag which clearly wasn't holding a load of food or drink however, still got asked to check my bag. We looked like a family group, not a bunch of drop kicks. On entry the grounds were well maintained but the signs around the maze were innaproriate and not family friendly, such as "if you leave you children unattended we will give them coffee and teach them to swear". The rude female staff member and sarcastic signs set the tone for a very toxic, and rude environment. Won't be...
Read moreThis is a favourite place of mine and my young sons.. we’ve visited half a dozen or more times over the past 8 years now. The man and his wife who own and operate the establishment, are so welcoming, friendly and passionate about their small business. I've had some nice chats with them.
Three different mazes, lovely gardens and established trees, a snack shop and putt putt. We highly recommend this place.
The low reviews of this establishment are as shocking as they are false... they are from rude, ignorant, clueless, entitled people who love to take advantage of small businesses and disregard their terms of entry, then retaliate with malicious reviews, when they are held to account. I run two small businesses - so I know first hand how that kind operate. This couple do a fantastic job and no doubt work very hard. The entry fee and inclusions are excellent value for money and in fact one of the lower priced activities for families...
