The best time (and safest time) to go down to the beach is at low tide. The path is just a short walk south from the lookout/carpark. Is a little steep and sand washes off at the end, which means you might have to negotiate a larger step to get to the beach. If you like rocks, rock formations and finding little shell fossils...this place will have enthralled for hours! Just watch the tide, because you could get stranded in the cave. Be careful if visiting with small children, as you can get very high swells. Please don't attempt to go to the cave in rough weather. It is dangerous and this is not an LSV patrolled beach....

Castle Cove Lookout is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the ocean. The lookout is easily accessible and provides a peaceful spot to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The panoramic views are simply stunning, especially at sunset. There's ample parking and the walking trails around the lookout are well-maintained, making it a perfect spot for a short hike or a relaxing picnic. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy some of the best coastal...

Castle Cove look out is a beautiful sport to first glimpse the coastline of the Great Ocean Road. It was such a nice place. I could stay for a while at the lookout. Unfortunately I was running out of time. It was not very crowded and I enjoyed the view quite a bit. I think it would've been nicer in the morning. By the time I was there it was rather late. However it was not any less beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by there if you are in the area.

If you walk towards the end of the beach where all the rocks are then you can see a little cove at a distance. I recommend walking along the beach and going to the lookout as you can see how far you can walk! The tides were incredibly high and it was omnious being the only two people on the beach but it was great
