The best time (and safest time) to go down to the beach is at low tide. The path is just a short walk south from the lookout/carpark. Is a little steep and sand washes off at the end, which means you might have to negotiate a larger step to get to the beach. If you like rocks, rock formations and finding little shell fossils...this place will have enthralled for hours! Just watch the tide, because you could get stranded in the cave. Be careful if visiting with small children, as you can get very high swells. Please don't attempt to go to the cave in rough weather. It is dangerous and this is not an LSV patrolled beach....
