Awesome freshwater lake. huge in size. large boat ramp, deep water. verdant tree covered hills, Fishing, Watersports. Best freshwater spot in NSW for boating. lots of trailer parking.
designated fishing and paddling spots away from the watersports boats.
busiest between xmas and new year. still warm water during easter.
waterskiing and wakeboarding there is always a portion of lake that is available to share it’s huge. lots of bays and corners to hide in and have flat water. (wind picks up in the afternoon)
plenty of camping by the lake.
100% there will be kangaroos at early morning and evenings.
cabins are booked out in summer well in advance.
park has day pass fees ($14 per car) kiosk and fuel by the lake. with hot food, ice cream, bait and fishing gear, coffee. (better coffee in town)
the top gate ran by Reflections holiday park is rarely manned. (annoying but the kiosk at the lake end is always manned) you need a code to get in the top gate. there’s usually a sign posted with the entry code on A4 paper. and you need to buy an exit code from the kiosk by the lake to get out. (before they close the kiosk)
heading to the lake after the top gate a short walk to a bend in the creek near a bridge there is a place to swim about 1m deep. there’s always people swimming in it in the afternoon in summer with children.
in town coles and woolies ,cafes, PUB and other accommodation.
it’s a country town with that atmosphere and vibe.
plenty of horse riding activities around and a large aeroplane museum. children’s playgrounds.
very quiet and peaceful

Read morePublic access was restricted as of 25th April 2024. Go to the holiday park enter the given code at the gate. Then go to the office and make sure to buy a day pass with and exit code. There were two ladies in the office they were very nice. Do not enter after 4:30 as there is a possibility the office is closed. Make sure to call the office and the staff is still there, if you are going in after 4:30. Staff was very helpful. I would give 5 stars to them but not the...
