Emerald Pool — Attraction in Glenworth Valley

Great secluded place to undress and relax for a picnic with your significant other. Flat rocky area just down stream to lay out on a blanket with a good lunch. The crystal clear water is icy cold 🥶 in the emerald pool. The down stream pools are perfect. Bit of a hike, 3.5 easy kilometers in, as previously the track was drivable before the gate was fitted, with 300 meters of washed out walking track at the end. Well worth the effort. Well first the trek, we wernt prepared for how far and hard it was only do if you are a seasoned hiker. Secondly the pool was horrible yucky brown stagnant water it was such a let down after the hot sweaty horrible hike. Then we had to turn around after finally catching our breath and hike our way out. Took us 3hr and many stops to get our breath. We definitely think the ranger should put up notices when the pool is stagnant. Save...
