Course was in great condition, staff very friendly and the facilities clean & well presented. Played 24/09/23, 2 weeks after the course was closed for course reno's, still love the layout and the overall condition of the course, once the course recovers from the reno's it should be back to its full glory. Compared to other less prestigious courses around, I think freshening up of it's club house facilities would entice more patronage, they are looking a little dated. I have played quite a few courses over the past 9 months from Lismore to the Sheraton mirage in Port Douglas, and overall I rank this course in the top 5 for course layout and condition, bottom half value for money when (when full green fees apply) and middle for staff friendliness/facilities. This for me is a course I would consider "once a year" treat, whereas some where like Parkwood, Windaroo, Carbrook, Tweed offers better...

Played a round back here in August. It's a lovely course.

I need to travel down to the coast soon for a wedding and figured I'd see if I can get in on Saturday during comp as I am a member elsewhere. It's not uncommon for other players to book in to compete. So, I called Lakelands to find out if I could possibly get in. Spoke to Cliff who said "no chance "we give our members first choice I said yea I get that but just seeing if a spot would be available as I am not interested in social play like he suggested. He said members here don't pay 5k membership, not to be able to play on Saturday! his attitude and complete disregard of customer service has left me fuming.

I have played many rounds at the coast and will tell everyone I know about Lakelands response to non members.

Avoid this place, palm meadows is only across the road and more then...

lunch at Lakelands - don't bother had lunch here today - Burgers - Easy right? set menu - Burger or burger? If you are vego - easy we take out the meat patty ( yay ! it is an anaemic looking lump that makes Maccas look gourmet, and I'm told it's stone cold) So whats left is a white crumbly bun, a few slivers of sliced limp lettuce, 1slice of tomato and 1 piece of beetroot - No sauce. My 7 year old could serve a better meal than this and if you got it at a tuck shop you'd send it back. Even for a hungry bunch of golfers, I watched as they collected plate after plate of hardly touched meals, shocking to ask for payment for something which is so hard to get wrong and manage to make it totally terrible. You only get 1 star because it wouldn't accept no stars which is the real...

Very nice and well maintained golf course. I played end July during winter. Fairways and greens watered and very playable. Greens are fast. Clubhouse ok, bar and dining area. Both inside and outside patio dining. Change rooms stocked with all the usual stuff. Will definitely play there again. Ample parking with a driving range. Golf shop onsite.

Absolutely beautiful course kept in good condition. Quintessential Australian scenery and friendly locals. Place of play was a bit slow because the course was jammed and we’re certain our playing partners teed off early and then got stuck between the 4-ball in front of them and us.

Unbelievable golf course and layout. Such a fantastic design that is a lot of fun off the tee. The greens are fast and hard but run perfectly. This was the favorite course of our five round Gold Coast tour, highly recommend playing. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales
