I'm biased as I have lived here for the past 8 months, moving from interstate. My husband and I have recently retired. We love getting out and about cycling, walking, and scootering, and Bribie is ideal for this with great walking/cycling paths everywhere and bike lanes on the road. The beaches have lovely white sand and both calm and surf beaches. There's plenty of shops such as Australia Post, Woollies, IGA, Target, Liquorland, servos, etc. No Dan Murphy's or Coles. Golf and Bowls clubs around, there's a U3A, an RSL, a surf club, and a couple of pubs. There are weekend markets most weeks selling produce, homemade goods, plants, and local businesses represented, too. The weather is temperate. The best major shopping centre is Morayfield, which is 25-30 minutes drive away. We love it as do the many visitors and tourists.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Bribie Arts Centre! Not only does the Matthew Flinders Gallery hold amazing exhibitions of paintings, drawings, sculpture, timber crafts, mosaics, leadlight (stained glass), textiles, photography, prints, metal sculptures, ceramics, pottery and jewellery, most of the art is for sale! The pieces are all handmade, high quality and reasonably priced. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful, and the Centre has a great little cafe in the courtyard, perfect for lunch or a lovely cup of tea. This is a "must visit" for anyone coming to Bribie Island. I highly recommend it.

Our Bribie Island arts centre, always has lots of local art on display, but the many different yearly exhibitions are something to look forward to as the art is normally of a fairly high standard. Worth dropping in on a regular basis to check out " what's new" as the changes always seem to be interesting . Highly recommended.

Well i will never go back there again ...Ever... I have been selling my cushion covers there for years only to arrive this morning and the unprofessional market manager Rod has given my stall away to his friends . When approached he said he had emailed me .Yeah right . I personally gave you my new email address two months prior . He continued to make excuses as to why he replaced me like my stuff wasnt compliant, i had 2 people at my stall etc .I have had 2 people at my stall since I started and never had a problem . I hope his appalling skills dont effect the business of fellow stall holders . You had a chance to discuss this in person but decided to hid in a room and then state you will email me . You couldn't email me the first time so i dont expect to receive any correspondence . Man up princess and admit your faults. Change your name to Bribie bad...

I was extremely disappointed with the treatment I received from one of the male staff members at the Cafe. Due to Covid-19, the Cafe has one entrance and one exit. I entered the cafe correctly and signed in, as required. Before ordering, I was called toward the exit by the front office/reception lady, who was following up on an enquiry regarding a painting for me. I did not step outside the Cafe while speaking with her. When we finished, I turned back to go and order when I was told very abruptly that I had to go around, as that was an exit. I explained that I had entered through the correct way and signed in already. He said (rudely) “it doesn’t matter, that’s the exit”. He then turned to another customer and loudly said “it’s not that hard it has a sign!” I was completely astonished that a staff member would be...
