Spent a day at Bullocky Rest with my family, and we had a pleasant time. The picnic areas are spacious, with shaded tables and open spaces for kids to run around. The lake is beautiful and calm—great for taking photos or just enjoying the view. Walking along the paths felt refreshing, though they could use better signage to guide visitors. The car park was adequate but filled up fast, so arriving early helps.

One downside was the toilets—they were functional but not the cleanest. Also, if you're planning to stay long, make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks since there aren’t many amenities nearby. Overall, it’s a nice place to spend a quiet day outdoors, especially if you...

Bullocky Rest is a perfectly peaceful parkland for picnics, play or pandemonium, should the latter take your fancy.

There's abundant shady parking offered from lots of magnificent tall trees, a beautiful big lake to frolic in or maybe even give your remote control boat a run, some friendly wildlife to keep you company, plenty of picnic tables ... some covered ... some not, barbeques ready to cook your feast, water on tap and even some conveniently located toilets to keep things civilised.

So, if you're after a nice little getaway, that's not too far away, Bullocky Rest is...

It is an absolute joy to spend time at Bullocky Rest on Lake Samsonvale. It has very good facilities that include shaded picnic tables, BBQ cooking, clean toilets. Parking is usually near the picnic area. The area invites you to immerse in nature! There are good walking trails starting from Bullocky Rest. Better signage for the trails would be appreciated by newcomers. The council is doing a good job to keep the area clean. On weekends and public holidays the area can be quite busy, however visiting during weekdays can be...

One of my favourite spots to relax from absolutely everything. The tranquility of the place reminds me of a layback life in my province so this is my go to whenever I feel sad and stressed. I just hope I can also take our Maltese here as I always feel sorry for him to be left alone at home. Also, though I don't usually use their toilets here but I do hope the council will consider an upgrade as well as the playground as this hidden gem definitely has it's own magnetic charm.

This spot is so much better than the other two parks. With plenty of room to play. Plenty of parking space during the weekdays. Lots of tables and bbq areas. As well as toilets close by. Nice and quiet place for the whole family. Wheelchair and pram friendly paths. There is a path to the other park which is wheelchair and pram friendly. Lots of wildlife to see and hear. I highly recommend going to have a look 🙂🙂.
