Beautiful park on Macleay Island. Most northern point with stunning views. This park has everything: A playground for the kids, bbq facilities and picnic shelter. A lawn to kick a ball and a lovely beach. Its very tranquil and peaceful- a one in a million place you unlikely see in a travel guide. Was well maintained when referred to as potts point after a man that lived next door. Little known fact that pats park is attributed to a story that a man named pat escaped from St Helena leper colony washed up there and camped at the top of Macleay Island in seclusion. Mmm got to love it the romance of of hard won freedom. But who knows the name is debated...
