Beautiful park on Macleay Island. Most northern point with stunning views. This park has everything: A playground for the kids, bbq facilities and picnic shelter. A lawn to kick a ball and a lovely beach. Its very tranquil and peaceful- a one in a million place you unlikely see in a travel guide. There is even a fenced off area for swimming which is great for those that appreciate that sharks etc are kept out. Macleay Island is worth a day trip and Pats Place on Potts Point should not be missed.

Always good to visit this progressive club, especially the annual canoe race around our island. Well done to the winners & the Tingira Boat Club once again! I

Never actually stopped here a year ago went past in the boat. Lived around the corner when I was a child/young adult. Was well maintained when referred to as potts point after a man that lived next door. Little known fact that pats park is attributed to a story that a man named pat escaped from St Helena leper colony washed up there and camped at the top of Macleay Island in seclusion. Mmm got to love it the romance of of hard won freedom. But who knows the name is debated...

There's a picnic area with electric barbecues and power points for the kettle. Lovely tidal swimming net provides a safe place to swim. Beach is interesting at low tide with rocks from volcanic activity weathering out, sand changes almost daily , shells and coral from the reef just out from the shoreline. Seabirds are always present, variety changing...
