Greenough Wildlife and Bird Park is a quaint spot that offers a nice variety of animals, including a wide range of birds like owls and talking parrots, as well as crocodiles, emus, dingoes, lizards, snakes, kangaroos and some farm animals like goats, sheep, a donkey, and a horse. A big positive is the ability to get up close and engage with the animals, even feeding them by hand, which makes it an interactive experience. šŸšŸ

The staff are very friendly, and the entry fees are affordable, making it a decent stop for families, especially if you’re driving past or looking for something to do with kids. There’s a rest area and a small shop for snacks and drinks, which is convenient. You can see most of the park in about 30 minutes to an hour, so it’s not a full-day activity.

On the downside, the kids’ play area is tiny and not really suitable for small children. While it’s a good budget-friendly outing, it might not offer enough to make it a destination in itself unless you’re already in the area. 🄱

Overall, it’s a pleasant stop with a chance to engage with animals up close, but the limited facilities and size mean it’s best suited as a short visit rather than a major attraction.

Absolutely love this place. To be clear - this is not a zoo so don't expect one. They recover and rehabilitate local animals here and release them when it's possible. You do however have the opportunity to have very personal interactions with the animals. Everyone can feed the farm animals and kangaroos.. I would highly recommend the animal experiences like the reptile, dingo and baby kangaroo cuddles. I did the reptile one and loved it. There are no other places that I've ever seen like this. The staff are incredibly passionate about what they do, helpful and have their hearts in the right place. The price is extremely reasonable considering the experiences on offer. It's an honour to help support such a great cause and the owners are lovely. Keep up the great...

Absolutely loved My visit to Greenough Wildlife Park! The owners are incredibly passionate and genuinely care about every animal in their care — you can really see the love and dedication they put into the park. They were also so friendly and welcoming, happy to chat and share stories about the animals.

There’s so much to do and see here — from getting up close with kangaroos, emus, and snakes, to spotting all kinds of fascinating birds and reptiles. Every enclosure was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up to keep the animals happy and healthy.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through Geraldton, this place is a must-visit! It’s fun for all ages and a great way to spend a few hours immersed in nature...

Owners were friendly and genuine. Park was very clean and easy to navigate around with clear signs indicating different animals with their names. Variety of animals and birds such as kangaroos, deer, ostrich, emus, pony, horse, cow, sheep, cockatoo. They are cute and, most importantly, well cared for. It is heartwarming to know that the owners loved them as much as we do. Also, there is a playground within the premise for kids to play and have fun! Lastly, do pay in cash (preferred) and allow owners to retain 100% of its value. We did not see the sign and thus paid via cc, which we felt so sorry about it. Please do support this local family owned sanctuary. It is really a beautiful place to visit.
