Take 5 minutes to pull into the parking area, read the info sign, and take a good look at this marvel — it’s worth it and so much more satisfying than trying to see and absorb it at 90 km/hr on the highway. As others have noted, there are loads of other trees growing at an angle in this area with prevailing winds coming in from the coast, but this is the granddaddy of them all! It is located on private land, so the viewing spot is behind a sturdy fence, and rightly so. I can’t imagine it would survive long if people were able to get to it. If you are traveling north, it is on the left just past Daisy Downs farm.

It is easy to miss the attraction if you don’t slow down. We had to slow down safely after missing it and did a u-turn to come back to it as the signage is small. Before you realise it, is that the tree we are looking for ? Haha.😜 BUT please do stop and make a visit. Amazing to stand right there and see for oneself! The tree is surviving despite the wind and the leaning is a lesson for one to note that when life isn’t going the way it ought to, we should find another way to live on, and not just live, but live well and strong.

Overhyped, in my opinion, unless you want to know the origin or the science behind it. But for such a long drive to see it.. it was a good thing that it was just an on-the-way event. Looked like curved branches with bushes at the end, but caused by nature was the incredible part. You can't get near it since the tree is all fenced up, likely to protect it from destroying hands and climbers plus over enthusiastic photographers.

I mean, it's a tree that's growing sideways out in the field. As long as that's exactly what you're expecting then sure this thing is worth 5 stars. Not much else to see or do here.

"But what makes this tree different to all the other leaning trees" you might be thinking. Nothing. It's a bit bigger I guess. And there's a sign and information board at the spot where you park (just on the side of the highway) also there's some weird little watermelons growing as well as grass with lots of little spikes, so don't stand too close to the grass.

Yep. That's it. The...
