Great place to camp with the kids particularly in summer. Always 25 degrees cooler than Tamworth or Nundle. Lots of native wildlife, birds and a great place to swim and fish. Facilities are okay with clean toilets and fire pits to cook in. Short drive into Nundle for supplies.

What a brilliant spot for a day trip/picnic or camping overnight. This place is normally sooooo much cooler than Tamworth, it’s especially nice in Summer! The toilet facilities are relatively new and are clean and well maintained - a bonus in my books!!

A beautiful camping / swimming dam. Loads of space with around 15 groups camping at the time. Pit toilets are modern and looked after. 36 degrees in Tamworth but a very pleasant 26 up here in the mountains, a great escape from the Summer heat.

It's actually a small camping area. There are proper toilets. But i wasn't sure that there were any drinking water facilities or not. So be o the safe side, carry your own drinking water. There is a shed with seating arrangements and bbq, too. You can swim in the lake or fish. Overall, it is alright for a day or two stops. There are plenty of camping zones and all free. The drive was great, though. Loved that country roads. 3 stars 🌟 according to the facilities. It's not excellent,...

Didn't stay, but worth considering in the future. Modern toilets on offer. And large undercover picnic area. But some campers decided to camp (swags) under the roof despite signage to the contrary. Note: not a dam like Copeton or Glenbawn, more like a...
