To be honest there isn't a lot to see or do. A historical POW camp with a few ruins, an old cemetery with minimal markers, but lots of history. The overgrowth has covered the history but there are tracks around the area to explore. I love the historic value of what was once a thriving town.

Good pub meals. We sat in the very capacious Beer Garden which included an old barn with a pool table. Nice old hotel with friendly service. Seating out front as well. Our dog was allowed with us.

We had an amazing drive to see the viewing rock, make sure to wear shoes if you want to walk. You can take the dog with you as well

There are no facilities here, so expect basic. Take water and food. The Old Quarry Rd was drivable in my Mazda CX5 AWD. easy to walk around the bush but reco.mend regularly orienting to the Rd so you don't get lost. Lots of small birds, I saw 5 varieties of honeyeaters over a few hours drive/walk. Love to go...
