It's a beautiful little spot with plenty of space for picnics. There's some great birdlife too, however it's nowhere near as nice as it could be. Whether because the effort has never been put in to really fixing it up/maintaining it, or because people just ruin it for themselves, I'm not sure. There is trash everywhere despite the obvious presence of bins. The toilets are disgusting. There's not much in the way of benches/built shade structures etc, however there's ample shade under the trees so you'd just need a few camp chairs & tables. There's a swing set for the kids and some struggling grass, though it's mostly dirt. You can bring your pups, though they must be kept on a leash. Hear and see the unique bird life as they dart through the trees, soar across the sky or just stare down majestically from the tall trees unconcerned to the human race below.
