Beaufoy Merlin Lookout — Attraction in Hill End

Well worth a visit if checking out the old Hill End Gold Mining village. Just a short drive up the hill out of town and provides a great view overlooking the countryside. Also a fantastic photo opportunity. I put my camera on a tripod and with a 10sec release, was able to capture a photo of us on the seat. If you forget your tripod, don't worry, there is a bollard here with screw for your camera to place on top to get a 10sec shutter release photo. Stunning look out point with secret entrance to loop around 4x4 4WD track. On the way up to Merlins lookout there is a road to the right with "no through road" and if you turn there and go past the commerical shed down a bit you can jump onto a 4x4 track that loops around to the Hill End Tip.
