Thorsborne Trail, Hinchinbrook Island National Park — Attraction in Hinchinbrook

Wow! What an experience! Not super long over four days, but it’s quite rugged, not super developed - which makes it awesome. Frequent markers and water sources along the way. Be prepared for beach hiking, rainforest, swamps, paper bark forests, waterfalls, creek crossings, rock hopping - so much variety. We used John at Absolute North Charters for our return boat trip. Five stars!

I've done a lot of hiking, and this is one of the best trails I've found. A lot of variety, not over developed, and plenty of fresh water available from the gorgeous streams along the way. Did this trail in 2000 and had a very rugged experience, mostly in the rain so recommend be prepared for weather. Keep dry items in your back pack protected and be prepared to wear wet clothes the next day. Dry out overnight in the tent and enjoy it no matter...
