This is the second time I’ve visited this winery. We are from South Australia so last time was a few years back. Although the cellar door was not open Mary opened it up for us as we see passing through the area at that time. This time we called ahead to find out if they were open given today is a national public holiday. Last time my favourite was the fat frogs semillon. I still love it my fave was a red nanna gelso. If you are staying in Bundaberg or surrounds it’s well worth the trip. There is a very pretty garden and verandah where you can bring your picnic lunch. They make mango chutney from mangoes grown on site and dukkah honey and olive oil are also available at the cellar door. Mary says the mango trees forming a barrier around the property saved it when a cyclone came through more than a decade ago. Hospitality is great, the wines are great and the location is great. Will visit next e we are in this part of Queensland.

This is a lovely little family-owned winery (the best kind!). We saw a sign and stopped by on our way from Brisbane to Cairns. I highly recommend stopping by for a wine and liqueur tasting, you definitely don't want to miss ending your tasting with the lemoncello or coffee liqueur. We greatly enjoyed chatting with Terry, a local legend. The wines were absolutely fantastic, the Two Fat Frogs Semillon was a favorite - and we enjoyed our bottle!

A mall family owned winery, the lady owner was friendly and she explained about wines. They also run B&B from there.

Sadly, the wines we were offered (a sweetish white, a sparkling Semillon and 3 red-blends - all containing Merlot) were all pretty ordinary and disappointing. We are avid wine lovers/ collectors, reasonably well travelled, so perhaps we expected something a little more?.. some promise of complexity and depth? a few dry options.. a Shiraz? a Cab-Sav? (not blends) and vintages from previous years. To be polite, having tasted the range on offer and feeling somewhat obliged following the tasting, we bought the Three Marys sparkling Semillon - pick of the bunch, easy drinking being white and bubbly, but very overpriced for what it is, at $35. Might try visiting again in a year or two and see if the wines in coming years are better and options broader.. be nice to see what...

Never thought it was possible to get a sweet red wine but you will find one here! We stopped in on our way back to Brisbane on a whim. Unfortunately I couldn't go up and taste test because I was on crutches and the entrance was up a lot of stairs. I left hubby to it, and without testing, he bought a few bottles of wine. So far, my fav is Nanna Gelso! Oh my goodness! I double checked the bottle after my first sip because I thought it was some sort of port! It is so rich and sweet, and...
