This place is amazing. When you get to the camping sign, do yourself a favor and turn right. The other one is a bit hectic and you get pin stripped bad and the sand is very soft, no turn points if like me your towing a trailer 🙄.

We camped on the beach which was lovely as weather was mild. Wouldn't be fun in high winds Drive along beach involves patch of very soft sand. Windmill camp site looked great. Back from the beach with grassed areas.

Beautiful place to visit. It's definitely worth having a look around the headlands. We camped on the beach in a wicked spot overlooking the little islands. Only downside was the glass in the firepits.

Very average park, in desperate need of maintenance. Very dirty camp kitchen and laundry facilities. There were wasp eggs on the fry pan!!! The amenities block needs to be cleaned early morning not in the evening.. or else yellow lights turned off overnight so that a litter of dead bugs aren't found everywhere in the bathroom the next morning. Staying on an unpowered site was like camping on top of a swamp. Very minimal shade.. not an attractive camping location. The beach wasn't nice. Our highlight were seeing the millions of soldier crabs running along the shore. We booked this caravan park based on the mostly good positive reviews... I don't understand why this park gets above 4 stars!!!!!! We have just finished our stay at an ahhhhhmazing caravan park in Yeppoon. There is just no comparison. Half the price, amazing park, well-maintained, clean, awesome facilities and location... hopefully this review helps other...

A worthwhile destination for nature lovers looking for a peaceful retreat. The park features beautiful coastal views and well-maintained walking trails through diverse landscapes. The lack of amenities, such as restrooms and picnic areas, might be a drawback for some visitors, so it’s wise to come prepared. The park’s remote location ensures it’s not crowded, which adds to the overall relaxing experience. If you’re seeking solitude and a chance to enjoy natural beauty away from the crowds, Cape Palmerston National Park is...

I booked into Cape Palmeston Caravan Park for 3 weeks and stayed for almost 3 months! I love the beach, the fishing is great - I filled my freezer with whiting caught off the beach, the staff are so friendly and helpful, even breaking into my van when I lost my keys. Now I have purchased my forever home in Greenhill just around the corner...
