The views, the water, the ships, the nature, the birds, the new trail, the coast. It is good for the mi d, body and soul. -I really wish people would stop the ugly graffiti on the lighthouse. If they had talent in graffiti art, maybe it would look okay. This looks like a 3 year old with a can of crayon. I'd say a nice mural all the way around the bottom would be sweet, but I know it would be ruined eventually. I love art, including graffiti, however this isn't art,it is vandalism.

As many locals do, this is a frequently visited location. For those not in the know - keep your dogs on a leash and kids close - unobstructed steep cliff drops are dangerous for happy go lucky kids not paying attention as they do… paths lead down to an amazing view of the split rock and there is the Waltons hiking trail as well. No bathrooms so might want to factor that into your travel plans :)

Beautiful spot away from the city with nice views of the water. The graffiti on the building gives the area an abandoned desolate feel, but the light is still active. In the summer months, the areas around the lighthouse have wild blueberries, raspberries, and gooseberries.

Cape Spencer Light is a Transport Canada run Navigation Beacon to Aid Mariners, both in the Saint John Harbour Anchorage and the approaches to the Harbour, of the dangerous cliffs along the cape. The light is a fiberglass tower construction with small maintenance building and fog horn. The light is a white all round flashing light with an 11 sec frequency and a light range of 14.3 miles.

Upon last visit both the tower and maintenance building had been...

Secluded and peaceful. Very high up with no railing or people to help if you somehow survive the initial fall, not recomended if you are scared if heights( think 5 story building with pointy rocks and the ocean at the bottom) ...... if youre careful you can get some very amazing views, on a clear day you can see windmills in Nova Scotia. On a calm day during mid to low tide you can jump along the rocks at the bottom if...
