Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park is the place that amazes and fascinates me the most on the Yorke Peninsula and I really recommend it, it won't disappoint. I suggest you set aside at least one day if you are a photography enthusiast and just want to scan all the sights quickly. But if you are an experiencer and like diving and surfing, it is worth spending a long weekend to experience it. With its rugged coastline, rolling hills and diverse flora and fauna, it's an unforgettable experience. If you are a nature and animal lover, this place is also worth your stop. According to the park, there is an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos, emus and echidnas, as well as more than 100 species of birds. We also saw lizards inadvertently, but unfortunately, we didn't see kangaroos. The park's coastal cliffs and sandy beaches offer stunning views and are great for hiking, swimming, and fishing. One of the park's highlights is historic Inneston Township, a former mining town now preserved as a heritage site. You can explore the town's historic buildings and learn about the area's rich history. The park also offers a range of camping and lodging options, from basic campsites to more luxurious cabins, making it an ideal destination for families and groups of friends. But to be honest, the surrounding area is relatively deserted. I'm not sure if you will feel scared at night, but it is definitely a unique experience!

Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, now where do I begin? This place is a must visit attraction if you visiting South Australia, the whole national park has breath-taking scenery both ocean views and inland views. The National Park has rich history which you will learn from the many history signs at each location. Drones are unfortunately not allowed within the park itself and you would need to pay for an entry fee to the park which I paid happily to further support the development of the National Park. Every site had a whole new experience with places to park your car and many walking tracks which would take you days to complete everything this National Park had to offer. There were many wildlife along the way so do take care if you are driving and make sure you bring sunscreen as going for a swim is a must. Thank you Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park for a memorable visit. Follow and join me on my next adventure! IG: @the.koffert.kiwi

This is a must go place in South Australia. Entry to the national park requires a payment of $12.50 per vehicle (not per person). You have to do the payment online. There is an information center. However, they do not accept payments there. When you get closer to the park, on the road you will see boards mentioning that a payment is required to get in. You can actually get to the visitor center do the payment online while you’re there at the carpark. This place has got so many beautiful beaches, lighthouses, and picturesque animals, flora and fauna. A lot of people come here for camping. I would say, you honestly need about one whole day to explore all the places here. Every place is 2WD accessible. So no worries about your vehicle. I’m not sure of toilet facilities. I think the visitor center has one. But it was closed when we went there.

Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park is undoubtedly one of the most stunning destinations in Australia and a personal favorite for nature lovers. This remarkable park is home to breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches, scenic hiking trails, and incredible wildlife encounters, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The park also features iconic lighthouses, such as the Cape Spencer Lighthouse and the historic West Cape Lighthouse, offering spectacular views of the coastline.

The Visitors Centre is a great place to start your journey, providing useful information about the park and its history. I highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance to save time and ensure a smooth visit. Before heading out, be sure to download a park map to avoid missing out on hidden gems, as there are countless spots to explore, especially for first-time visitors.

While visiting, you can enjoy activities like fishing, snorkeling, birdwatching, and camping. The park is also rich in cultural heritage, with remnants of old gypsum mining sites and abandoned townships like Inneston providing a glimpse into the area’s past. Whether you’re there for a day trip or an extended stay, Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park promises a memorable experience filled with natural beauty...

Really lovely place, great views, excellent tracks. Theres camping available too. We went and packed our lunch did the walks. A few signs that tell you about the track as you go on it were a little worn, but good information. We also saw some dolphin fins in the ocean and it was so pretty. The Royston walks in definitely worth doing 100%. Not too long, and the view is breathtaking. The Stenhouse is quite short but also really nice. The Thompson Pfitzner is quite long, and its nice BUT on the way to Stenhouse,we were followed by March flies almost the whole 5kms. They kept biting my legs THROUGH my pants. Was very frustrating, we didnt have insect repellent. Dont know how much it would have helped though. On the way back however, they werent nearly as bad. Only got biten probably 2 times on the way back, and they didnt follow us for very long. We saw a sign saying there were ticks in the park. If you stick to the paths you should be fine, but i wore long pants and long socks and tucked my pants just in case. We didnt get any tick bites :) was really nice there, just bring...
