It is a far cry from its glory heyday, but our family has been coming there since the 50s and we still love it. There was a lovely slow gradient from the dunes down to the water and very manageable waves. From babies to golden oldies, all were comfortable and loving the water. All our crew attending were able to catch little breakers non-stop and the younger of us were taking them all the way into shore on their boogie boards. The Surf Life Saving Club were monitoring very actively between the flags and later in the day, ran some training exercises to keep sharp.
