We spent the afternoon at the Caves Beach and found it endlessly interesting. There are lots of rocks to climb and rock pools to explore. Information panels, on the walk from the carpark to the beach, tell a really interesting story about the history of the area (including dinosaur info, and pictures, for little enthusiasts). I think the actual cave, for which the beach is named, may actually have collapsed, but it's absolutely worth the visit nonetheless.

I love this... beach? Cove? There is a small (dirt) carpark, and stairs down to the... bay. The rocks and other formations are endlessly interesting, and the vibrant greens and sometimes orange colours are beautiful to look at. Little rock-pools form too. At low tide, it's even worth looking around for dinosaur footprints along with some of the caves - here and in a couple of other places along this beautiful coast.

Great place to explore. Getting to the actual cave was a risky task though. The rocks are very slippery and on an exteme slope. Just to walk around the flat rocks and explore the rock pools would have been enough of a highlight anyway without the nervous experience of making my way to the cave. It's important to know you can only look at the cave when you do get there. You can't go in the cave.

Really interesting cave entrances with large rocks from the cliffs above restricting access. Could get in if your keen but we were there the day after a 4.3 earthquake nearby so thought better of going in. Beach with dinosaur fossils and markings required imagination to interpret what we found but lovely place to explore at low tide. Unfortunately the dinosaur footprint of world renown had been destroyed by some moron in recent times...
