While the park itself is lovely, it's seems that there are some people out there who prefer to have relations in public places, on the walking bridge over the pond, leaving his mess on the walk way. STAY AWAY from this park!!! An overwhelming scent of urine, from men marking their territory, I'm guessing, and a large area closed off to the public, due to maintenance, or lack thereof. Police need to patrol the area more often. Cameras, lights, wandering security guards, to disparaging that sort of behaviour. Mother's Day was ruined. Do NOT recommend!!!

Perfect spot for nature therapy, sound healing, and perhaps a bit of old school romance even. With a wide variety of wild - life like water dragons, Ibis, flying foxes, turtles, ducks, geese, eels, and more, this place offers incredible value for your time. Humans being humans create and leave rubbish behind, so pick up some rubbish if you feel like contributing to the slice of hidden paradise that these gardens are. Recommended for - grounding, tree hugging, wild life photography, gentle music, picnics, and more

It's a great place for a relatively easy walk with a long path that runs though the park it has several bridges and many easy to use BBQ facilities and undercover seating but I'd rather sit on the grass and as for the ducks and water hens they are happy to eat whatever bread you can spare can even Pat a old drake.. All in all not the best looking park around but it's definitely a hidden gem not many people know about... It could do with some fruit trees or dwaf coconuts just to deversify the gardens

It was a warm day at 32°C...so we had the park to ourselves. After years of passing by on the train, we finally decided to pay a visit. The top end of the park has picnic tables and free BBQs...but no toilets. A small toilet block is placed near the main park entrance. There is a flood damaged area of pathway near the main park entrance. It remains closed, however other existing paths do bypass this area. Also, near this closed area, are hundreds of roosting bats in the tree canopy. A bit smelly and messy. They will, no doubt, move on later in the season. All in all, a pretty and under-utilised park. We...

Beautiful and peaceful! Bird life galore from ducks to moorhens to the Ibis in the trees and above them a colony of bats, throw in a couple of lizards too. There's plenty of seating and BBQ plates situated around the park and bathrooms as well. There is a train track next to the carpark but you hardly notice the trai s passing as you get lost in the beauty of the bird life and the tranquillity of the pond as the ducks land in the pond for a lazy feed. No playground but plenty of space for exploring a must seems a world away...
