The peace and tranquility you feel when you walk in the gates is 'special'. Moreover, the range of botanical species, the trees, the paths which meander through ponds, greenery, native shrub life - Makes this park one of my favourites in NSW (if not the all-time favourite).

Friendliness; The gate keeper (Boderee Botanic Garden is in the Boderee National park, therefore, you need to go through the gate keepers to gain access to the gardens) provided all maps and points of information and was well versed in the local Aboriginal points of interest (I am uniquely interested in Aboriginal art, places interest, plant, scenery, native animals and their culture). The gate keeper answered all questions and more.

Scenery; Once you park and walk into the gates, you are treated to the sounds of birds and native animals talking to each other. When I went in, we were treated to a bird which looked like a rainbow lorikeet, however, it had a red top and grey body (not sure what it was, however, on the day, we were treated to seeing five of these birds).

Cleanliness: really clean - no rubbish ANYWHERE.

X-factor: all trees were sign-posted and easy to understand. On the day we went in, the bush tucker garden pavilion was closed.

Amazing place, will go back...

Lovely lovely lovely. Good access, beautifully managed gardens. The gardens include toilets, picnic area with electric bbq and drinking water.

The paths vary between paved/easy and unpaved/moderate and there's signage to help you decide where to go if mobility is an issue; otherwise just rambling about was great fun and I saw loads of different birds as well as the flora.

I visited on a warm winter day after heavy rain, it was lovely walking weather. The place has plenty of tree cover so hot days will be nice too.

Immersive, absorbing, peaceful. Very glad I came and will visit again if I'm in the area.

There's a few offgrid camp sites in the national park that surround the...

The well-kept gardens featured numerous walking tracks. Although we couldn’t find the turtles, we enjoyed the lovely trees, plants, and lake views. It’s an experience to enter the gated area and admire the beautiful flowers and trees on offer. Plan ahead with plenty of supplies and comfortable shoes, as you’ll likely be walking a lot...
