This lookout was one of the highlights of our holiday, and to think others live near this! One of the key features to this lookout was the drive, not too far away from Jervis Bay- and before hitting the parking lot, we were met with an influx of vibrant forestry overlooking the Horizons edge. Upon arrival, we were met with the ruins of the houses that many individuals inhabited. Stone walkways, alternative trails and a picnic bench near the rock pools. Deeper into the ruins, there is a taller lookout you can come across, where we were met with a sea eagle above. Great spot for family photos. Nearing the edge of the cliffside, there's a small fence barricading you from going further, except it is not wrapped fully around the edge, and making it easy to climb over. This is for parents with adventurous kids to stay cautious of, not to let their kid off-leash and explore, since there are several entry way points to come close to the edge and fall down without anyone noticing. Despite the exceptional view, it is a hazard- and when going around it myself and to the cliffs edge, there were broken glass particles on the ground. Not a good sign. I took a short panning video of how high we truly were, panning across my feet and the drop below.

A good fact is that going off to the coastal edge of Australia, it is in fact just a huge drop,...

Around 30 minutes from Huskisson, this historic site is a must visit. Imagine building a lighthouse in the wrong spot and then causing more shipwrecks than avoiding them! Well that’s what happened here until the navy sent canon balls into it to stop its light drawing those ships into the rocks like a naughty siren!

I visited in summer. The drive in is on a gravel road with a speed limit that oscillates between 20 to 60 km/ph. It’s an easy road with no apparent pot holes or correlation. Just watch for oncoming traffic .

Parking is easy as there is a car park that includes toilet facilities. The walk up to the lighthouse ruins will take all of 5 minute, I did spot TWO brown snakes so stick to the path!

The views over the cliffs are gorgeous. I imagine this would be a top spot of whale watching during the season.

Prebook your national park pass online ahead of visiting your avoid the queue at the ranger station on entry to...

An unforgettable adventure awaits at Cape St George Lighthouse! The rugged beauty of this historic landmark takes your breath away. Standing tall against the elements, it's a testament to Australia's maritime heritage.

The panoramic views of Jervis Bay are simply stunning – crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and the distant horizon. The drive in and short walk to reach it is an exciting journey in itself, with scenic trails that connect you to nature.

While it's abandoned, the lighthouse's eerie charm adds to its allure. It's a photographer's paradise, especially during sunrise and sunset. Just be sure to pack essentials like water, sunscreen, and comfortable footwear for the hike.

Exploring Cape St George Lighthouse is like stepping back in time and connecting with nature. A must-visit for history buffs, nature lovers, and anyone seeking an extraordinary experience in this breathtaking part...
