as the sunset drew close we decided to have a look at what this place was with a view to visiting the next day. i stopped off for a few photos of the train and spoke to a worker about the trains he mentioned the owner was around and all was OK. i snapped a photo as was approached by the owner in a black vehicle who asked what the F#$% i was doing?, do you realise this is private property, you can be fined $5,500 and jail for being here and I can fine you $500 on the spot, i suggest you get the F#$%# out of here!. which i said sorry and left. There are no signs about private property, trespassing, or the roundhouse museum being closed? I will never return or visit this place and i will post this to socual media as well. With the owners attitude one star is too much. very...

So we followed the tourist signs to the round house site on a Monday, obeying all signs, to find it closed BUT that was OK. Drove around the car and bus park, stopped and got out, walked to the roundhouse windows for a peek., then another peek down the line to the turntable ( not crossing any tracks), then drove out, stopping for a snap of a Qube train NOW this is when it became very unpleasant in the arrival of a bloke in a little black car.Pulled up and said can I help you and before I could reply, not once, not twice but 3 times I was told to F - OFF in a very angry tone in front of my wife, to which we did. Reasons for the angry but controlled out burst are so unclear to us, thus our memories and stop off in Junee was short and very...

This extensive historical display of rolling stock and railway memorabilia is well worth a visit. Half of the roundhouse is dedicated to the museum, while the other half is still in use as a functioning workshop for modern-day locomotives.

Visitors are invited to explore inside vintage passenger, dining, guard's, and mail carriages. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions.

There is also room containing a very detailed operating model railway. Look closely to see the blacksmith hammering and a car crash with emergency services at the scene. It even has a wind turbine. Definitely visit this museum if you have the...

Fantastic. I am not a locomotive enthusiast but found the experience to be nice. Showcases the towns central history. The tour guide and ticket person were a very wonderful old couple. A real wealth of knowledge that kept us non enthusiasts entertained. There is a working model train set up and a bunch of historic photos in the main area. Out in the round house they have locomotives and carriages to explore. Very cheap entertainmemt and a nice look in to the history of the town and surrounding rail network.

My son is a train fanatic. This was a blast for his 3rd birthday. Wer are shown around by a lovely man named Robert. He told us stories about the trains and was so very kind enough to help me with my 2 kids and walking frame. It's such a bargain for only $16 for a family pass. There's a large detailed miniature train set and a platform for the kids to stand on to see everything. Then on to the big trains that you can get into and get a feel for the old days on the rail. Absolutely worth a stop.

If you like trains and roundhouses, then this is a beaut! A gentleman with razor wit called Bob took us around the place and gave us some really interesting insights. This place has one of the biggest model railway set I have ever seen. There are many decommissioned trains that you can jump on and see what first and second class travel was like in days gone by. There is a gift shop to get the rellies some cool items. If you find yourself in Wagga Wagga region, check this place out.
