Love this place and a must do on the island! Gets very busy so go early if you can depending on the tides. So much easier to get to however not good if you have a disability with mobility. Lots of stairs going down and the back up again and then once on the beach, lots of rocks to manoeuvre around and walk on. Has restroom facilities which is great if you want to spend the majority of the day. Has strong currents and large waves that could knock you off the rocks so can be dangerous. No lifesavers...

I don't think it should be allowed to go during high tide to be honest. 6 of our people had pretty bad cuts due to either waves causing them to lose balance on the razor-sharp rocks or smashing them against rocks under the surface of the water... There have been pretty severe accidents here before, as we found out when we googled later. If you still do want to swim, wear some sort of water-shoes. There are prettier spots on K'gari anyway! Wouldn't bother driving...

The views from the carpark to the pool were spectacular. It was a pleasure to walk along the hilly exposed path. It made what could of been a difficult walk into something to remember. We spent most of our time looking back at where we had just come from and planning where we would go next.
