As a turtle lover, this was on my must see list! By the time we made it to the lake (after getting stuck behind 2 separate bogged cars who refused any assistance and guidance therefore causing unnecessary delays) it was 4:30pm and the viewing platform was in shade making it hard to see the turtles under the water. They did however pop the noses out of the water and there were so many! They come right up to the platform and make themselves known. Fascinating to see so many of them in their natural habitat.
